Yes. AI-assisted and non-AI work are equally welcome in the challenge. Your tools don’t decide whether you belong here. You remain responsible for having the rights to the work you submit.
Do I have to write 50,000 words?
No. Choose the word goal that fits your project, or pledge to make progress without a word target. Comics, graphic novels and poetry belong here too. Prize eligibility and entry requirements will be announced separately.
When does it start and finish?
Writing starts at 00:00 on 1 November 2026 and finishes at 23:59 on 30 November 2026, Europe/London time. You can pledge before the start or join during November.
Who owns my work?
You do. Making a pledge doesn’t transfer ownership of your manuscript, artwork or ideas to AethrBooks.
How do the prizes work?
There is currently $2,000 in prizes across several winners, plus a real trophy. The categories, judging criteria, eligibility, trophy allocation and submission instructions are still to be announced. We’ll publish those details before prize entries open.
